An advantage to living on a peninsula has to be the number of beaches to choose from. I love the beach a lot and in summer it is my favourite place to go. Here are a few pictures that were taken today.

And there are a few selfies of me and a friend because who doesn't love a little selfie.

Life's a beach right.

everyday face

I love reading or watching blogs/videos about makeup and how each person will design their face differently. I thought I would give it a go. Here is a brief run through my everyday make up routine.
The basics are carried out on a daily basis when I leave the house.
I start by tying my hair back with a bandana and applying nivea's refreshingly soft moisturising cream all over my face as I don't want my skin to feel dry before smudging chemicals on it.
I then use Maybelline's BB cream in the shade "light" and apply it using the "complexion blending" brush by ecotools. The BB cream is less drying than foundation and still gives amazing coverage that sometimes concealer can be missed out. It is also SPF 30 so is great for wearing in summer.
Next up is concealer by Collection in shade 2, "cool medium". This is a brand that I love and trust, their concealer works miracles in hiding daily blemishes so I think it will become my go-to brand. I use a concealer brush (either from ecotools or bareMinerals) to blend this into my skin with a dabbing motion.
To set and matte the nude make-up I use a pressed powder also by Collection in shade 1, "Candlelight". I brush this all over my face using a bareMinerals "full flawless face" brush, it's so poofy and fluffy. There is no shimmer within the powder and it gives brilliant coverage even when there is a minimal amount on the brush.
Sometimes I will just stop here but other times I will continue to eye make-up.
Also if I am applying dark eye shadow I will skip the concealer step until I have done the eyes so that no excess pigment is under my eye.
I have many palettes but recently I have been loving "Heaven and Earth" by MUA, good quality cheap make-up. The pallette below was £4, such a bargain for lots of neutral-gold shades.
Usually I cover my lid in the most gold, shimmered colour in the palette using an eyeshadow brush I picked up from Superdrug.
I then use the lightest shade to highlight the inner corner of my eyelid and brow bone. Depending on my mood I may extend the time I take doing my eyes and apply different tones into my crease, outer corner and lower lash line. I also use a separate brush (from Morrisons) for the lighter colours just to prevent colours mixing so they last that little bit longer.

Eyeliner is my absolute favourite part of make-up. I am not very good at applying it but I am slowly improving. I use Maybelline's master precise in black for my upper lid, the end is like a felt tip pen so it is really easy to apply. For my water line and tight line I use a brown kajal pencil also from Maybelline, this applies really smoothly but I still end up having watery eyes, I usually put this on first.

Recently I have not been wearing mascara because I find it a pain trying to remove but when I do wear it I use Maybelline's great lash in the blackest black. If I decide not to wear mascara I curl my lashes instead since mine curl really well and it creates a lot of volume for the eyes.
Again, this is not an everyday thing and is optional depending on my mood, blush/bronzer. I'm more of a blush gal personally but owning bronzer is a conformity. The blush is Maybelline shade 77, "rose" while the bronzer is by bareMinerals in "warmth". I use an ecotools powderbrush to apply either, I never wear them together.
That usually completes the make up look with possibly applying babylips or vaseline to my lips. At the end of the day to remove my face I use simple's kind to eyes make-up remover and a cotton pad, then moisturise again using nivea.
If you were nosey enough to get to this point then thank you.
I'm going to try and write more because it's summer soon.
